Richard Caputo is a 1971 graduate of Bucknell University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. Following his underwriting and management experience with Chubb Insurance Group, Richard founded the Caputo Agency in 1979. He is licensed in Property and Casualty, Life and Health Insurance. Richard’s main focus is to define the vision of the agency through leadership, strategic planning and industry experience. Much of his agency growth and success has been through his experience in developing insurance programs to fit the specific needs of agency clientele. The Caputo Agency is well known in Pennsylvania and surrounding States for expertise in in writing Fuel Dealers and Energy related accounts.
Lisa Macklin – President
Lisa earned a B.S. degree in Economics from the University of Pittsburgh. She is licensed in Property & Casualty Insurance. Lisa currently oversees all aspects of the agency operation including agency procedures, agency service standards, training and education, and licensing and compliance. Lisa is also a commercial lines property casualty account manager for the agency which includes providing specific service and marketing support to the agency’s sales executives
Carl Caputo – VP of Marketing
Carl earned an Associates Degree from Penn State University in 1976. He has 15 years experience in retail management. He is licensed in Property and Casualty Insurance. He has been an account executive since 1987 and has successfully developed a marketing program for the trucking and petroleum industries.
Donald Bunney – Renewal Manager
Don earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from Indiana University of PA. He is licensed in Property & Casualty Insurance. Don oversees the energy related commercial lines property & casualty business for the agency. This includes marketing & sales support for the agency’s sales executives for both new business & renewal accounts. Don has been with the Caputo Insurance Agency since 1990.
Bernard Caputo – Account Executive & General Counsel
Bernard has been a Producer with the Caputo Insurance Agency since 2012. He received his law degree from Duquesne University School of law in 1990 and has been in private practice since then. In 2005 while working as General Counsel to the agency, Bernard obtained his Property & Casualty license followed by the Life & Health license in 2006. The combination of his law degree and the insurance licenses provide Bernard and Caputo Insurance with a unique perspective on accounts.
Brad Cossin – Account Executive
Brad joined the Caputo team in 2008 as one of our producers/agents. Brad is a 1990 Graduate of Geneva College and brings a lifetime of experience in both business and aviation. As an insurance producer and business owner he understands what other business owners need to help protect their business and livelihood. Brad is also a pilot with over 12,000 hours of flight time. With over 30 years in the aviation industry he brings a vast knowledge to the table for all of our aviation clients. Brad has been married for 21 years and enjoys spending time with his 19 year old son and 16 year old daughter.
